MORSUN WINS AGAIN Irwin Racer in Fifth Consecutive Triumph at Aurora Irish Extends Son of Morvich to Limit to Defeat Him by a Neck Weather Cool AURORA 111 May 15 Morsun speedy son of Morvicli made a new Aurora record this afternoon when he scored his fifth straight victory over the Exposition Park course His latest success came with the running of the fourth race which was for highclass claiming sprinters and the Irwin colt won by a neck from Irish while Big Sweep finished third thirdMorsun Morsun though held at oddson did not have an easy race by any means and was forced to do his best at the end to stall off Irish With jockey Willie Moran in the saddle the yinner set a fast early pace and running the first half mile in 4746 was well in front in the early stages of the race The fast pace told on him in the run home however and with Irish which had raced close up from the start gaining fast he was forced to put forth his very best efforts in a drive to get home in front Irish was gain ¬ ing with every stride at the end but the others were well beaten Morsun carried the colors of C B Irwin for the last time today He attracted the fancy of the racing firm of Lewis Kemp and that stable secured him on their claim of 5000 5000Continued Continued cool weather greeted the patrons that attended the races this afternoon and few remained in the grandstand except when the races were being run The day was cloudy but the track was fast and Morsun ran the five and onehalf furlongs in 1 06 06SEXORA SEXORA VICTORIOUS Jockey R Ayraud who has been riding in good form of late rode Senora to victory in the first race Twelve horses started over the threequarters distance and after My Girl had set the pace for a quarter Senora went to the front and was never headed thereafter Sincerely a sixyearold mare made a game challenge in the stretch but could not get within a length of the winner Sincerely finished second and Lucky Drift one of the favorites was third Senora had many supporters among those present presentWingo Wingo which was recently claimed by L Rosenburg won for his new owner when he defeated nine others in the second race Jockey Colvin was on the son of Peter Quince and after sending him to the front on the stretch turn shook off Blue Canopy in the final drive and scored by a length Blue Canopy which raced well was easily best of the others and Radio Service was third Jean a Sweep filly showed speed in pacemaking but quit badly in the last furlong It was the second victory of the meeting for Wingo which paid 834 834POPULAR POPULAR TRIUMPH TRIUMPHType Type scored a popular victory in the third race Nine juveniles started over four and a half furlongs and the winner took the lead on the stretch turn to win by half a length Good Friend which was second might have turned the tables had lie been more fortunate He was in close quarters on the stretch tuiai but came fast when clear and was wearing the winner down at the end Wittora from the Irwin stable finished in third place The winner was well backed backedTanist Tanist had luck on the first turn which re ¬ sulted in his winning the fifth race He was in last place approaching the turn but when the leaders swung wide jockey Mulrooney sent him through next to the rail and he was in front when the others straightened out on the back stretch Under good riding he continued to lead to the finish and was a length in advance of Alto when the race was concluded Alto beat Jack Alexander by a nose for second place Little Gyp attempted to keep pace with Tanist in the early stages and had nothing left in the final drive driveJockey Jockey Ayraud won his second race of the afternoon in the sixth race He was astride M J McXulty Jr the favorite and after Betting away slowly caught the others and held Bill Phillips safe in a driving finish Bill Phillips also got off badly and ran a good race as did Finnster the third horse The latter was carried wide on the first turn Dolly Bay set the pace but quit badly badlyJim Jim Coffey was a recent arrival from Maryland with one horse horseA A T Sansone who is racing a large strinj at Aurora will ship to Woodbine Park in a few days Jockey T Romano will accomj jwny the consignment
