High Time in the Three Ds Stock Farm Stable figured in his first win ¬ ning effort since the winter season when he easily accounted for the Stadium Purse the feature of this afternoons program under ideal weather and racing conditions at Wash ¬ ington Park Running the distance in the slow time of 113 the victor raced home thre lengths in the van of T S Jordan which prevailed as favorite while Morsun took third in advance of but three others othersIt It was at all stages a race engaging only the placed trio as the others quickly dropped out of the race and could not reach conten ¬ tion when the pace slackened during the final quarters quartersT T S Jordan had the most early speed but his abHity to run the first quarter in 22 and half mile in 4C did not distress life winner as he followed in close pursuit of T S Jordan After straightening out in the stretch A Ayraud hustled the Three Ds colt and responding gamely he readily wore down T S Jordan and drew away as the latter held Morsun safe in the final stages Laddie Big Star and John Johnson Jrl completed the field fieldSPR1XTERS SPR1XTERS IX LOIELIGHT LOIELIGHTRaces Races over the shorter distances predom ¬ inated Outsiders came in for chief honors during the early races but the favorites showed to better advantage in subsequent contests and the day found favorites cred ¬ ited with average success successThe The attendance included numerous arrivals from Kentucky where the early spring season came to a close Saturday and still others are expected from the blue grass district within the next few days For weather the afternoon brought the warmest of the meeting and this combined with much inter ¬ esting sport made an ideal matinee for the enthusiasts enthusiastsCall Call Play carrying the colors of the locally owned Coldstream Stud furnished a mild surprise when he registered over Jim Pryor Demon and six others from among the cheaper grade older platers in the seven eighths opening race Moscow the E B McLean starter was a big favorite but he found the pace too fast after racing promi ¬ nently for fiveeighths and retired rapidly through the stretch stretchThe The winner while slow to get going moved fast after reaching the turn and easily disposing of Grand Dad and Jim Pryor through the stretch pulled away to win by two and a half lengths Some three lengths farther back Demon outfinished the badly faltering Grand Dad for third thirdTULSA TULSA CAMPAIGNER AVIXS Blandris which last campaigned at Tulsa added another upset when under a strong ride by R Ayraud she raced home victorious over Sir John K Tbshell and four others in the second race also for inferior platers and decided over seven furlongs One and one half lengths back of the winner Sir John K and Voshell fought it out in bitter fashion and to a finish for second place which fell to the former while Medley and Richu which came in for much support were a good distance back at the end Medley came out of the race in which he failed to prove a factor at any time in a very sore condition while Richu gave way after making a chal ¬ lenge The winner moved around the leaders with a rush after entering the stretch and while swerving through the closing eighth steadily drew away and won with something in re ¬ serve Sandy Man which was displaced from the lead in the last furlong gave way to Sir John K and Voshell then tired badly in the final twenty yards yardsMaiden Maiden juveniles started over fiveeighths in the third race under claiming conditions and the result was a popular victory for E B McLeans Sun Porter ridden by E Ambrose She raced past the leaders with a rush in the stretch and drawing away won easily with Generola second and Entice third Shasta Snow which set much of the pace succumbeyi to the disappointing performance and was never prominent at any time timeCalgary Calgary Kay and apprentice Keiser made up the winning combination for the fourth race the gelding outstaying Quibbler to win by a half length at the end of seveneighths Quibbler gaining second place for the third time in as many starts during the meeting came from a long way back to force the win ¬ ner to give his utmost during the final stages and Tommy Lad which showed the way for almost threequarters saved third in a close finish with Hoodies HoodiesAs As Tommy Lad set the early pace the win ¬ ner under a good ride followed well in hand and responding fast when called upon was not long in reaching the front This accom ¬ plished he continued resolutely yet was rap ¬ idly giving way to Quibbler as the race ended The latter badly outpaced during the first half mile moved up fast thereafter and finished with fine speed leading Tommy Lad by almost two lengths for second place
