ALICE DEL, close up throughout, had no excuses. STARACENE and CHILONDA showed early speed, but the former bore out badly in the last eighth. THISTLE DICK raced well. CURT was shuffled back after tho start. BARSTON had no excuses. KEEWATIN was in close quarters shortly after the start, stumbled and unseated his rider.
