Lucky Tom, J. J. Robinsons Kentucky Derby and Preakness hope, and victor in the Jefferson Derby a week ago, is rated high among the early candidates named for the stake. In his only two trips to the barrier this season the speedy son of Master Charlie Phyllis Louise triumphed in impressive fashion, winning the admiration of the fans and turfmen. However, competition in the Louisiana Derby may be keener than any the crack three-year-old has experienced during his winter racing. Sazerac, Camp Douglas, Lucky Tom, Flying Don, Stimulator, Sarietta, Volta Maid, Cathop, Busted, Bertjohn, Battling Knight, Battering Ram, Bengal Tiger, Crystal Prince, Louis Merryman, Chicon, Princess Camelia and Prince Farthing.
