PARTRIDGE RESIGNS AS TRAINER NEW ORLEANS, La., March 7. Due to Ill-health, John B. Partridge, veteran turfman, resigned as trainer of the extensive Shandon Farm racing stables of Patrick A. Nash and Richard J. Nash of Chicago. He will be succeeded by John J. Greely, who takes charge of the Shandon horses at the Kentucky Association track, Lexington, Ky., today. Upon being relieved, Partridge plans to leave for Florida and, with Mrs. Partridge, will remain for an indefinite period in the Everglade state, where he hopes to find better health. Partridge was in charge of the Nash Brothers stables since the wealthy Chicago contractors came into the sport on a large scale six or seven years ago. For them, he developed a number of winners and the horses in his care won many races.
