: y NEW SECRETARY FOR j RACING COMMISSION .--------------- - 4 LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 11. Dame rumor is credited with a report in circulation here that there will be a change in position of secretary to the Kentucky State Racing Commission, a post now filled by Charles N. Lewis. It is rumored that Tom Underwood, Lexington newspaper man, will succeed Lewis, when the Kentucky State Racing Commission, recently reappointed by Governor Ruby Laffoon, is confirmed by the Senate. Charlie Lewis will leave his office in good shape and his departure from this post, which he has held for the past four years, will be regretted by a legion of his friends. There is likely to be a change in the censorship of the telegraph office also, the present incumbent, L. A. "Buddy" Lentz, who has served for the past four years, may be succeeded by L. G. Theisen, of Louisville, who preceded him in office. John McLaughlin, of Lexington, supervisor of pari-mutuel machines, an appointee of the Kentucky State Racing Commission, will hold on for the next four years, it is said.
