The latter, away fast, drew away in the first quarter, then tired in the stretch. SOCIAL BEE finished resolutely. DANGER ZONE raced wide. JESTING propped at the start. ORKIN saved ground going out of the chute, improved his position and came through between the leaders on the stretch turn and outlasted STRETCHER. The latter, used up forcing the pace, raced TIGER PRINCE into defeat in the early stages, but could not .keep stride with the winner in the last eighth. BIG BO worked his way up on the outside, disposed of JILLION in the stretch, but could not get up. JILLION began slowly. TIGER PRINCE showed good speed for three-quarters, then tired. MY PURCHASE, close to the leaders and on the outside early, opened up a commanding lead with a rush entering the stretch, then tired in the last sixteenth mile and had to be hard urged to last. JAMBALAYA began fast, but was outrun for three-eighths, improved his position steadily thereafter on the outside and closed gamely. PRINCE FOX, crowded back earlv, improved his position on the inside on the turn and closed fast. SHIVA passed tired horses in the stretch. DON ROMIRO dwelt at the start.
