CHICAROS HALLIE lost little time getting to the front and, showing good speed, opened up a good lead and easily held the others safe. CAMPDORE overtook SNORKY in the stretch and, closing with a rush, was up to win in the last stride to be second. SNORKY made up ground, disposed of GOOD THOUGHTS on the stretch turn, but was not good enough. DIMOCK finished well. KATE A. could not get up. STIMBLE was outrun all the way. Won driving; second and third the same. DEMOISELLE, a factor from the start, overtook SHASTA SNOW in the stretch and, closing gamely, just lasted to hold BIG STUFF. The latter, a slow starter, gained steadily on the outside and, closing with a rush through the final quarter, just failed to get up. BOOTTOP was practically left, but improved his position. LADY CONARD closed well. GENGHIS KHAN tired. SHASTA SNOW quit badly in the stretch. PRIVATELY was pinched back after an eighth. The latter came slightly wide in the stretch and made a game attempt to catch the winner. CROFTON was in close quarters soon after the start, got through an opening, but lost much ground entering the stretch. DUBLIN HILLS finished well. PAT could never catch the leaders. BUMPSIE RAY was in close quarters next to the rail and came very wide into the stretch but closed much ground. TWENTY TWO SIXTY saved ground all the way. SWEEPING RAY quit badly. GRIFF W« broke down.
