Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. MUSKOGEE, saved for the first mile, went to the outside when moving up, saved ground in the final half-mile and, closing resolutely, wore down MY CARE after the final fence. MY CARE took command after the twelfth jump, appeared to hold a safe lead approaching the last fence after displacing AUTUMN BELLS, but was kept on a wide course and was overtaken. AUTUMN BELLS, steadied in front, tired in the final drive. ERIC THE RED showed a good performance, but his rider could not do him justice when his saddle slipped. EIDERBARD had no mishaps. INDIAN TOWN, at home in the going, raced SONSY into defeat in the first half-mile, saved ground and, responding gamely when forced to a drive, outlasted RUSTIC CUBA. The latter worked her way up on the outside and closed resolutely. TOWN SQUARE, hard ridden throughout, lost ground entering the stretch, but finished gamely under hard urging. SERENABIT, on the outside and close up early, tired. SONSY cantered off a mile after unseating her rider while at the post, but showed good speed for half a mile and tired thereafter. FAIR CLARK raced evenly. CHISEL was unable to threaten the leaders. TRUE SENTIMENT was never dangerous. BLACK DREAMS raced PLUCKY GIRL into defeat in the first half-mile, saved ground, but could not keep up. HIGH SOCKS could not improve his position. JACK PULPIT closed resolutely. MAJOR LEE piled up the others going to the first turn, opened up a sale lead in the first five eighths, but could not withstand the winner and was disqualified for crossing oer. AIR KING, crowded back early, closed gamely. REHOBOTH raced well. DANNY BOY tired early. BERET, LAURA GAL and BRIGHEEN suffered from much interference on the first turn.
