Won driving ; second and third the same. HAPPY HOPES, outrun for half a mile, worked his way up resolutely while racing wide, responded gamely in the stretch and wore down PENSWEEP. The latter, shuttled back leaving the back stretch, came through between the leaders on the stretch turn, shook off HEAP GOOD, but was not good enoueh for the winner. HEAP GOOD held on well. KINGS BOUNTY raced well until enternig the stretch. PHAR CREST was outrun. ATTIC BIRD showed early speed. OUR SONNY began slowly and was outrun. Scratched-71145:Roikroma, 115; 71113 Jeanville, 110. Won easily ; second and third driving. CRUMPLER, under restraint for a turn and a half of the course, went into command going to the sixteenth fence and, drawing clear, held MUSKOGEE safe. The latter set the pace, jumped well at all of his fences, saved ground, but was not good enough. CHANNING L., close up for two miles, tired at the end. Blackburn became overconfident near the end and almost lost third money. ALPHEUS did not threaten. CAPTAIN SOMERS was done after a mile. SAVANOLA was pulled up after the fourteenth fence, while BILLYCOCK lost his rider at the same jump. Overweight — Captain Somers, 5 pounds. ■ ~- 71217 THIRD RACE— 3-4 Mile. BIG BLOW forced a fast pace and continued well for the closing drive. RED RONALD, forwardly placed and saving ground, finished gamely when taken to the outside. EN AVANT worked his way up on the inside. LITTLE GYP raced out in "the middle of the track. BUTTON UP finished gamely. MINTMAGI tired. PLAIN DEALER was worked out to a mile. The latter improved his position and was wearing down the winner. YOUNG KITTY, hurried to the front, tired in the closing quarter. AYMOND saved ground, but tired. QUATRA BRAS was never a factor. PARDEE and SOLL GILLS tired badly after setting the pace. SCUTTLE was outrun. RIDEAWAY wheeled and unseated his rider at the start. DONNY JOHNNY was racing stoutly at the end. PRINCETON tired after five-eighths. FANTAD had no mishaps. BUD BROOM raced evenly. COMMON quit early.
