w EVENING AT WASHINGTON PARK HOMEWOOD, 111., June 1.— Evening, star three-year-old daughter of St. James — Cre-puscule, which races in the silks of G. D. Widener, arrived at Washington Park this morning to fill her engagement in the 0,-000 Illinois Oaks to be run on Saturday. The filly, which looms as the probable favorite for the rich event, came in charge of assistant trainer Bill Mulholland and was accompanied by a pony. She stood the trip in good shape and unloaded in excellent condition. She will be schooled from the Bahr starting gate on Thursday morning and will likely be given a good , workout later. With the arrival of Evening all horses that will participate in the Oaks are on the grounds and a fine contest is looked for when the field, which may be a large one, lines up at the barrier on Saturday. «
