j w _ DERBY CANDIDATES ARRIVE Springsteel and Adobe Post Reach Bainbridge Park — Economic En Route From East. CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 1.— S. W. La-brots Springsteel, candidate for the Ohio State Derby, to be run Saturday at Bain-bridge Park, arrived last night, along with his stablemate. Open Hearth, which will also run in the Derby. The pair were shipped from Toronto, where Springsteel won the Tria Plate, defeating Solace, Vacillate, Mag-nifico, Mexico and others, also the Woodstock Plate, defeating Delicacy and Open Hearth. Adobe Post, which has been racing well at Chicago, and another Derby candidate, has arrived at Bainbridge Park, along with Dick Morris. In the Kentucky Derby Adobe Post had a rough trip and was coming fast at the finish. Economic, which was shipped yesterday from Belmont Park by trainer Buxton, is expected at Bainbridge some time tonight and will bo a starter Saturday. He set the pace in the Kentucky Derby and finished second to Burgoo King. Since that time Economic started at Belmont Park over a mile and won in 1:37%. Among those he defeated were Larranaga and Bubble Up. It is expected that Economic will be a factor in the Ohio Derby. •
