Start good out of machine. Won driving; second and third the same. UNCANNY, outrun to the stretch turn, moved up fast near the stretch when called upon, disposed of the leaders and drew away. SWEEPING LIGHT forced a fast early pace from the start, shook off HAPPY SCOT in the stretch, but could not hold the winner. SEMAPHORE was. rated along under restraint, went to the outside of the leaders in the stretch and closed well. HAPPY SCOT set a fast pace, saved ground entering the stretch, then tired. GLIDELIA, on the inside, was forced back on the far turn, went to the outside and finished gamely. STAR FIRE and AMERICANA had no mishaps. GREEN CHEESE jumped well, was rated along under restraint, but was bothered near the eleventh obstacle and, dropping back, came through on the inside to draw away at the end. .FROLIC II. raced close up and, jumping well, was carried wide by WHAT HAVE YOU near the last fence, but came again. CHENANGO was taken back at the start, but closed a gap. LUCKITE was racing well when carried wide near the final jump. WHAT HAVE YOU, rank in the early stages, bore out badly on the last turn, then quit. CHENANGO and BANGLE fell at the third fence.
