MURPHYS LEAVE FOR ST. LOUIS, CRETE, 111., Sept. 5. Joseph A. Murphy and Mrs. Murphy are leaving Tuesday for. St. Louis, where they will make a short stay before proceeding to New Orleans. At New Orleans Mr. Murphy will close, with the Louisiana Jockey Club, the deal for the Fair Grounds, proceeding from that point to California for the Tanforan meeting. With the close of Tanforan Mr. Murphy will return to New Orleans and direct preparations for the Fair Grounds meeting opening in January.
