BOUGH RIDER ESCAPES FIRE CICERO, 111., Sept. 30. The three-year-old Rough Rider, owned by Mrs. Emil Dene-mark, of Chicago, and missing following the first hich destroyed three Hawthorne barns and claimed the lives of seven thoroughbred horses Wednesday night, was found late yesterday none the wo: a for his close escape. Josephine D., and a yearling colt, by Ballot, also owned by Mrs. Dene-mark, burned in the first, were much improved today and may be saved. They suffered burns about the mount and head. It was definitely established that the two-year-old Musher and a yearling owned by Jerry Sullivan, died in the flames, which also claimed Supreme Token, Winning Hand, Shelda Dane and Miss Callahan, owned by Mrs. Denemark and Flash o Light, the property of Anthony Janicka, of Cicero.
