The latter, close up and on the outside, was placed to punishment in the stretch, but could not make up ground. LEI, slow to start, worked his way up resolutely and finished gamely. FAIR IMAGE raced close up and had no excuses. ESPINETTA circled the others and closed gamely. VOLWOOD raced evenly. ILCHESTER showed early speed. SKY HAVEN tired after showing early speed.
