SWEEPERMAN, a slow starter and far back for five-eighths, improved his position fast on the outsido In the stretch and, getting up, drew away fast. THREAT saved much ground early, wore down the leaders .under pressure after reaching the stretch and tired, yet outlasted CHAT EAGLE. The latter lost ground throughout, met interference near the end, but held on well and with better luck might have been a stronger factor. HOPULIKIT withstood pressure gamely and held on well. POLYGENY, much used forcing the pace, tired. PRINTEMPS, under hard riding from the start, was in close quarters in the stretch. CAPTAIN LOGAN tired. OSWEGO PRINCESS showed speed under restraint, but quit under pressure.
