KNIGHTS GAL, away fast and taking a short lead, raced LORD RAGLAN into defeat and continued gamely under pressure, withstanding STEPSISTER at the end.- The latter, forced back in the first eighth, came through thereafter and finished resolutely. FELRAP met early interference and, taken to the outside, was wearing down the first two. CAESARS GHOST began well, but lacked speed to hold a forward position, but closed gamely. LORD RAGLAN forced the pace for five-eighths. SCOTCH SOLDIER tired after going half a mile. TIGER CAT quit. WHITE LIES moved up fast on the outside to take command midway of the turn, sprinted into an easy lead and finished with speed to spare. ENACTMENT, closed much ground entering the stretch and finished gamely. SUPERCHARGE, fractious at the barrier and starting from outside the stall gate, showed early, speed on the inside, but tired. PERNICKETY was unable to reach the leaders. PRINCESS WASSER was done after half a mile. FANFERN and BRIGHT SHADOW were outrun. DARKLING propped at the start. The latter, rated close up, challenged in the stretch and was slowly wearing down the winner. MAD FRUMP worked his way up on the outside and finished gamely.
