1 LATONIA TURF NOTES $ $ Norman W. Church came on from the East to see his Gallant Sir bid for Chanv plonship Stakes honors and after a few days in the Blue Grass country, during which he will inspect his breeding stock and future colorbearers at Claiborne Stud, he leaves for California. Anxious to see his Sazerac, which has proved to be one of the best slop or mud performers here, A. B. Letellier traveled from New Orleans, arriving in time for the Championship Stakes. Theodore E. Mueller, member of the Racing Commission, laid aside business in Pittsburgh for the day and took in the Championship. Daniel E. OSullivan, resident manager of Churchill Downs, and William Dennis came up from Louisville for their regular weekend visit. : ; 1 , 1
