WARE STRING IN NEW ORLEANS Only Horses Unloaded at the Fair Grounds Track Saturday. Ninety-Two Horses Now Quartered at the Former Bradley Track Horses of J. J. Coughlin on Hand. NEW ORLEANS, La., Nov. 5. The only horses to unload at the Fair Grounds today were those of W. R. "Bobby" Ware, who trained the veteran, Pigeon Hole, for his record seven straight wins around Chicago for Mrs. L. A. Connor, who is training a public stable. Ware unloaded Serving Lad, Stimulate, Aregal, Sally Dear and one yearling. In the same car R. B. Stelle had Full Up, Dandy Dan, Allegretto, Aurebon, Curmudgeon, Elkhart and Step Liz. R. McKeever, who has been racing here for many years, was the only other horseman to find stalls bedded down for him. His stable consists of Portam, Venturoso and Martinelli. In all ninety-two horses are quartered at the Fair Grounds and all are enjoying good health from their long trips. J. Freters, the veteran trainer, shipped from Chicago the filly Lady General, which is quartered at the Fair Grounds. Freters is looking after the J. J. OByrne horses until the arrival of the main division from Maryland, headed by the good two-year-old, Chrysostom. J. H. Schlessinger, a local man, is quartered at the Fair Grounds and has a two-horse stable, Brother Ben and War Tide. The largest stable at the Fair Grounds is that of W. A. Mikel, the southern Illinois horseman. Mikel has fifteen head and two yearlings. Among the older horses are Foolhardy, Morsnuff, Laurie, Taddywawa, Shorty O., Old Kickapoo, Charming Lady, Shift, Cut Price, Sleepy Boy, Race Extra, La Belotte, Ragabald, Buddy Bane and Type. G. R. Allen was an arrival this week with Spanflow, Predict, Niato, Go Easy, Polyp, Piecemeal and Tail Wind. C. A. Holland, who campaigns the Colgate Stable, shipped to the Fair Grounds the local favorite, Petabit, and the recent purchase, Catwalk. It will be the smallest stable Holland will race here in many years. Another regular already on the grounds is A. J. Heffernan with the J. J. Coughlin horses, including the six-year-old Roguish Eye and Camp Douglas, which was quite a sensation at Jefferson Park last year. Very Well and Lillian Tobin make up the four-horse stable to carry the Chicago aldermans colors here. L. M. Severson, another Chicago owner, has in charge of Frank Rector at the Fair Grounds Volta Maid, the maiden, Buster B., and the good two-year-old Spipson. There are also three well bred yearlings in the Severson stable. Other horsemen quartered at the Fair Grounds are T. Burns with Dixie Moon, Virginia O., My Dan and Rasuli, while I. E. Burnett has Mary McCarthy and Mardie. H. Herendeen, who recently took over his own horses to train, has four older horses as well as four yearlings. Mrs. H. Kiser has returned with the consistent Outcry and maiden Cherokee Girl, while B. Moots has a one-horse stable in Analyst. C. S. Mitchell was a recent arrival with Happy Warrior and Theone, and F. The three-year-old Sir Romeo, which brolce his maiden at Sportsmans Park, is theonly hope of J. W. Burton. J.
