I t SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES f ® # J. R. Carlock arrived from Lexington and registered Toltec, Stampdale, Cousin Rogers and Sarcastic. Arthur Elrod, who was in charge of racing at Atlanta, 6a., was an arrival and visited Sportsmans Park. Fred Digby, one of the stewards, drove ! from New i rleans an J arrived Friday night to complete the official family. W. R. Ware, who has Serving Lad, Wasteful and Luchon at the Cicero course, has signed the veteran Nick Burger to do the riding for his stable. George Swain motored from New Orleans and took over the books of jockeys E. Ar-caro and L. Cunningham, who are connected with the large C. E. Davison stable. The horses C. O. Ray registered Friday morning for the account of the Battle Axe Stable are The Abbot, Monnie, Bad News, Spanish Red and White Bonnet. T. P. Martin applied for a license and will ride free lance. He has the mount on Sun Memory in the Inaugural. O. L. Foster registered his stable consisting of Winnie Jo, Get Ready, Lerack, Rolling Sea, Out Bound, War Glow, Adorland, Andy, Belles Last, Good Jest, Gypsie Chief and Gallop Along. The former rider O. Clelland will train the horses of J. C. Ellis, which arrived Friday from Evansville. Jockey W. Boganowski was an arrival and is affiliated with the E. J. OConnell stable. C. E. Davison has registered eighteen horses consisting of the useful Jack Alexander and Sister Mary. Francis Dunne is taking entries at Hawthorne and that office closes at 10 a. m. J. Manale, the New Orleans trainer, has Burgoo, Sunny Sideup, Jargon, Mildred Wat-kins and W. J. Balmer to race here. J. J. OByrne, who has his stable quartered at Hawthorne, fired the good three-year-old Chrysostom recently and the colt will not race until the Washington Park meeting. Asa Harned unloaded his stable Saturday morning. They came from Lexington. Kenneth Mcintosh is making the book for jockey M. Dupuy, who is connected with the stable of Sol Rutchick. One hundred and eighty-five registrations were approved up to noon Saturday, which include some eight hundred horses quartered at Sportsmans Park and Haw lorne. All starts at Sportsmans Park will be made from the Bahr eate. Starts from the five-eighths, seven-eighths and one mile and one-eighth will be made from the permanent Bahr gates in chutes at these points.
