CHATTERDOO moved up gamely in the stretch, but did not threaten the first two. HAIR TRIGGER, taken up after the start, was unable to reach the leaders. HEXAMETER was outrun. BENDROMEL had no mishaps. HIEAWAY. fencing well, took command at the ninth fence, jumped boldly, but could not withstand the winner. WILLINGDON. hard urged in the last mile, outlasted SARDANEZA in the final drive. The latter, saving ground and in hand for a mile, challenged gamely at the fourth fence, but tired badly in the final drive. POINT BREEZE had no mishaps. BRANDON BRANDER landed badly at the eighth fence. CREEK fell at the fifth fence and ROYAL PHANTOM at the same obstacle. RUANE, in the deepest footing until reaching the stretch, overcame interference. BUBOLA was used up racing with MY FERGUS. The latter tired in the stretch. DARK VISION, far back for three-quarters, closed a big gap. AXENTEA, hard ridden all the way, was not good enough. DENON tired in the final drive. TRUE SWEEP had no excuses, as did the others.
