Won driving; second and third easily. GOD O WAR showed speed from the start and, responding gamely in the stretch, outlasted TOP ROW in the last strides. The latter, in close quarters and impeded on the far turn, came again and was wearing down the winner. THE TRAINER moved up gamely when called upon. POLL PARROT was not persevered with. CARSONO worked his way up steadily and finished fastest on the outside. SHAPFELL, close up all the way, finished resolutely under urging. ORILEY and MISS SNOW raced each other into defeat. SWINWOOD, a trailer to the stretch turn, went to the outside and finished fast over tired horses. JOHNNY SHAW was outrun. TREMENDOUS was cased up when she quit. BRANDON ROSE, a factor from the start, had no mishaps, but bumped LEAROYD on the far turn and was disqualified. WATERWAY came with a rush from a slow start. PELHAM tired at the end. TROYIAN had no mishaps. LEAROYD quit badly. SCOTCH SOLDIER stumbled when bearing in on the stretch turn and unseated his rider.
