AMERICAN LEGION DAY DETROIT Mich June 30 The American Legion and its benevolent organizations will benefit from Mondays program The man ¬ agement has donated all profits to the Legion and the officials will give their serv ¬ ices Seven races the chief of which is the American Legion Purse will be offered The horsemen gladly took a reduction in the purse values and with the exception of the main attraction the purses are 500 each The state has waived its tax for the day Clarence E Lehr general manager hopes to make a goodly sum for the Legion and its benevolent organizations
