NEW OHIO RULES AND CHANGES Commission Sets Purse Minimum for All Meetings at 300 EightyFive Per Cent of Employes Must Be BeCitizens Citizens of State Eliminate Jockey JockeyAgents Agents Licenses COLUMBUS Ohio May 14 Notification has been given the Beulah Park Jockey Club by George H Blecker chairman of the Ohio Racing Commission that several changes in rules and new rules will be in force for the spring meeting of twentyfive days which opens Saturday of this week weekThese These have been adopted since the publi ¬ cation of the Ohio Rules of Racing They are as follows followsNo No running race meet be conducted the purses of which shall be for less than 300 and that no purse or stake advertised for a larger amount may be reduced without the consent of the racing commission Further that any reduction of purses as advertised shall apply also to harness meetings meetingsA A minimum of 85 per cent of the em ¬ ployes of the tracks under the supervision of the Ohio State Racing Commission must be residents of the state of Ohio and the remaining 15 per cent can only contain the key men of the tracks personnel and that within five days prior to the opening of the meeting the management file with the Ohio Racing Commission a complete list of their personnel with certified addresses and that the violation of above will mean revocation of their permit permitLicensing Licensing of all jockey agents has been eliminated by this commission commissionFORFEITS FORFEITS THE PURSE PURSEWhen When a horse shows a positive saliva test he forfeits his purse and if the purse is paid before the officials are notified of the result of the test the horse and owner stand suspended until the purse is paid and prop ¬ erly distributed All money imposed as fines or penalties by any racing officials at any course except such fines as may be imposed on associations shall be paid over to the clerk of the course and shall in turn be paid over by him to the secretary of the Ohio Racing Commission within twentyfour hours after collecting same sameIf If any horse or horses should be excused by the stewards after the horses have left the paddock for the post the money bet on any horse or horses so excused shall be de ¬ ducted from the pool and refunded to the purchaser or purchasers of tickets on the horse or horses so excused Provided after the start there shall be no refund refundNo No entry shall be accepted by the racing secretary unless the trainer and jockey are duly licensed by the Ohio Racing Commis ¬ sion and it shall be the duties of the racing secretary and paddock judge to enforce this rule and any violation thereof would subject said racing secretary and paddock judge to have their license revoked
