CHARING CROSS INJURED NEW YORK N Y May 26 Dr Craw ¬ ford was called in to examine Charing Cross owned by Marshall Field and after examina ¬ tion reported that the off fore ankle was seriously injured A suspensory ligament was torn and evidence of a bow was notice ¬ able The colt was returned to the private Stable leased by his owner Trainer George 0dom was kept from making an examina ¬ tion at the time due to the fact that his presence was required to saddle Mrs W Plunkett Stewarts Bonny Clabber in the Acorn Stakes Trainer Odom after instruct ¬ ing Dr Crawford to examine the colt hur ¬ ried to the stable to examine his charge While the field paraded postward in the fourth race
