DEESSEN KEPT BUSY DETROIT Mich May 26 Des Dressen supervisor of parimutuels had a busy ses ¬ sion with his employes this morning He chose 300 of the 1000 applicants for regular work and placed many on the reserved list for Saturdays and holidays Dressen one of the real oldtimers since the popular system of wagering was legalized in Kentucky three decades ago has served at Detroit since the opening of the Fair Grounds course He also was in charge at Arlington Downs Fair Grounds New Orleans Tanforan and other tracks Before the war he worked in the calculating department at the Windsor tracks and has served at the majority of the lead ¬ ing plants in the country Mike Mitchell his cnief assistant and Mike Mitchell r ar ¬ rived from Kentucky yesterday and assisted sDressen with his preliminary details a
