MISS PATTERSON RECEIVES RECEIVESRIVER RIVER DOWNS LICENSE CINCINNATI Ohio Oct 18 Miss Nancy Patterson a blondehaired and comely slip of a young lady who prefers to race her small stable of horses which she conditions herself rather than engage in business or take part in the social whirl in which she was brought up is the latest one of her sex to receive a license as trainer at River Downs Miss Patterson a native of Pitts ¬ burgh Fa has been associated with horses hunters and the thoroughbreds horse since early childhood On her fourth birthday and at an age when most young girls are toying with dolls Miss Nan as she was affectionately called by those around her was presented with a pony by her mother Mrs Simon Patterson mistress of Hark away Farm where some of the best show horses which competed in the eastern rings have been quartered and which is located in Allion Park a near locale of the city of Pittsburgh And it was at the Patterson farm that this young lady first learned to ride take the hurdles and become schooled as a horsewoman
