NO VIOLATION OP TERRITORY LONDON England Nov 3 The British government washed its hands today of any official concern with the Spanish Civil War naval battle which took place within sight of the British coast less than ten miles off the Port of Cromer Geoffrey Shakes ¬ peare parliamentary secretary to the ad ¬ miralty told the House of Commons today that no violation of British territorial waters was involved in the sinking by the Spanisr insurgent motor vessel Nadir of the British Chartered Spanish freighter Cantabria The insurgent motor vessel was sighted today racing at top speed toward the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean The Nadir cutting through the waters of the North Sea with the speed of a destroyer was seen off Hast ¬ ings by a commercial airplane which flew over the scene of yesterdays sensational naval battle
