LOOKS TOO COMMERCIAL NEW YORK N Y July 14 Dan Ferris national secretary of the Amateur Athletic Union yesterday said he disapproved of Glen CunninghamT the Texas Rideout twins Elaine and Wayne or any other amateur athletes competing in races as a prelude to professional baseball games as they did in Brooklyn Wednesday night Ferris declared he would take the matter up at the next annual Amateur Athletic Union convention at Miami in December and will seek to have such exhibitions barred Cunningham out ¬ distanced his opponents in the onemile event Cunningham and the Rideouts have not turned professional but the whole thing looks too commercial and I thoroughly dis ¬ approve of it Ferris said
