OWNERS AND GROOMS ARRANGE MEETING AT HOLLYWOOD PARK PARKINGLEWOOD INGLEWOOD Calif June 2 A meeting between owners and grooms in charge of horses at Hollywood Park has been called for next Saturday morning June 7 in the stabling area cafeteria at 1130 oclock The meeting was scheduled by chairman Jerry Giesler of the California Horse Racing Board following a petition from the grooms to the racing board asking that body to be ¬ come an intermediary to arrange such a meeting meetingAmong Among the questions scheduled for discus ¬ sion will be that of increased wages Cer ¬ tain representatives of the grooms have been active since the local session opened recruiting members of the fraternity to make a joint demand for a minimum of 125 a month monthThe The petition to the racing board to act as intermediary in getting the two factions to ¬ gether was the result of commitments on the part of the grooms following the Santa Anita episode that they would not hence ¬ forth precipitate a strike before filing their claims with the board and seeking the lat ters assistance in adjusting any issue that might be in dispute
