HARRY J KOEHLER MEMBER OF OHIO COMMISSION DIES DIESRacing Racing Enthusiast Succumbs to Heart Attack Tuesday TuesdayHAMILTON HAMILTON Ohio June 24 Harry J Koehler 51 prominent attorney and member of the Ohio State Racing Commission died suddenly of a heart attrack at his home on High Street early this morning Although he had been complaining of being ill for the past several months it did not prevent him from attending his daily affairs and only yesterday he was at his office as usual He also made a trip to the court house to meet friends and also to handle some legal mat ¬ ters tersUpon Upon his return home he became very ill and medical aid was summqned Members of his family and physicians remained with him throughout the night and his death came at 7 a m mKoehler Koehler was appointed to the Ohio Racing Commission during Martin L Daveys term as governor in 1937 succeeding James A Shevlin wellknown Cincinnati restaurant owner He was reappointed to a fouryear term in 1940 His death came as a distinct shock and racing will sadly miss him He was an ardent admirer of the thoroughbred and was a tireless w6rker in its behalf said Shevlin upon learning of his death deathKoehler Koehler is survived by his widow Grace four children Richard Harry Robert and Mrs Robert Bronsonj a brother Charles Koehler and a sister Mrs Walter Rosen crans
