Billie Reuben Smart Mare MareHURST HURST Texas May 12 Col J O Hart who had just returned from Oaklawn and was supervising the unloading of his racing division had a few anxious moments when Billie Reuben one of his prize brood mares and dam of Rail Hawk who was being returned from Bedford Stock Farm after service by Valted dropped one of her hind legs through a hole in the floor of the truck in which she was being vanned The mare remained quiet until extricated It was later found that a knot had dropped from the planking in the floor of the truck Repairs were made at nce The mare escaped with a minor skin scrape
