Charles Towns Endowment To Merchant Marine Fund FundCHARLES CHARLES TOWN W Va June 14 Albert J Boyle president of the Charles Town Jockey Club Inc an ¬ nounced this morning that net prof ¬ its from today and Tuesdays pro ¬ grams would be donated to the Mer ¬ chant Marine Endowment Fund which will be set up at West Vir ¬ ginia University UniversityThe The newly created fund will be further augmented by two days of racing set aside annually for the next three years This endowment is to be used solely for the educa ¬ tion of children of those West Vir ¬ ginians who gave their lives in trans ¬ portation of supplies to this coun ¬ trys worldwide war fronts frontsThe The Charles Town Jockey Club has this year turned over 14 days to worthy charities Twelve days oper ¬ ated by the West Virginia Turf Fund Agency ended Saturday and in due time the National War Fund will be given 50 per cent of the profits and the remaining sum will be ap ¬ portioned between eight West Vir ¬ ginia charitable institutions
