Cartwright Plans Hospital Stay StayJohnny Johnny K Cartwright former jockey and exercise boy for the J H Bud Stotler stable when he joined the colors last year has received a medical honorable dis ¬ charge Joining the Navy about a year ago he was stationed at Kansas City then transferred to the subbase at New London Conn where he contracted pneumonia Hospitalized for several months at Newport R I he was recently given his honorable discharge suffering from a lung ailment He is back in Kansas City with his wife and will shortly go to the Excelsior Springs Hospital for further treatment Cartwright rode at most of the middle west tracks and hails from Coving ton Ky
