Neves Seeks Permission to Ride Here During Army Furlough FurloughSTICKNEY STICKNEY 111 June 14 Ralph Neves has made an application for a riding license and when it is granted he will become the turfs first soldierjockey Neves a private in the 29th Cavalry stationed at Fort Riley Kansas arrived in Chicago with permis ¬ sion from his squadron commander to ride during a furlough and the money the little California reinsman earns will be contrib ¬ uted to the troop fund of the company companyBefore Before he entered military service Neves was one of the countrys top jockeys and his services are certain to be much in de ¬ mand here during the final week of the Lincoln Fields meeting and later at Wash ¬ ington Park Neves furlough tentatively Is for 30 days but he said it may be extended extendedJust Just to get the feel of things again Neves galloped several horses at Hawthorne this morning
