Gay Bit in Public Workout BALTIMORE, Md.,* April 26.— Working between races at Pimlico this afternoon, Gay Bit, from the Bobanet Stable of R. Bruce Livie, turned in a handy mile In 1:44 over a fast strip. Under steadying I handling by Jack Westrope, the three-year-old covered the first quarter in :25VS, the half in :503/s and six furlongs in 1 :174£. The son of Gay Monarch is a candidate for Saturdays Chesapeake Stakes and Is also eligible to the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes.
