Belmont Park Meeting Nets State 3748902 3748902ALBANY ALBANY N Y June 10 The 24 day meeting of the Westchester Rac ¬ ing Association at Belmont Park which closed last Saturday yielded the state of New York almost twice as much revenue as the spring ses ¬ sion in 1943 The state tax com ¬ mission today reported receipts of 3748902 as compared with 1876 987 last year This is a gain of 997 per cent The total amount bet at Belmont Park was 57769842 The state collects 6 per cent of the mu tuel pools plus 60 per cent of the breakage The daily betting aver ¬ age was 3406706 compared with 1215643 a year ago The attend ¬ ance was 625811 an increase of 725 per cent over the 362739 gate count in 1943
