rew of 1171 to Handle owns Wagering Today TodayCHURCHILL CHURCHILL DOWNS Louisville Ky ipril 30 E A Weidekamp veteran mu uel director at Churchill Downs will have crew of 1171 to handle the wagering on he Derby Day program Weidekamp and tis assistant Ernest B White have the de lartment completely organized and the reDerby betting will get under way at i a m at the specially designated unit just nside the main entrance A group of 42 nen will be engaged to handle the early peculation on the threeyearold classic classicAlong Along with those 42 preliminary sellers 162 other sellers will be on duty at the reg ilar posts Cashiers will number 391 50 nessengers and 45 ticket checkers are to be in hand and 55 men will handle the sheet vriting assignment The money room will jemanned by 110 clerks and there will be 50 runners in that division Supervision on ill lines will be the task of 44 clerks while LO others are to handle the boards It will ake 15 men to run the approximate boards 25 to serve as guards six men will do the alculating and there are six executives in he front office of the Churchill Downs mu uel department
