ArlingtonWashington Stake Payments Due DueArlington Arlington Park and Washington Park officials today reminded horse ¬ men throughout the country that final payments on the six early clos ¬ ing stakes at the two tracks are due today May 1 To keep horses eligible to the Classic and American Derby threeyearold features of the re ¬ spective meetings 150 fees must be paid The Arlington Futurity and the Washington Park Futurity as well as the Lassie and Princess Pat each have payments of 75 due The latter two events are confined to ju ¬ venile fillies only onlyIt It has been disclosed that Coal town Calumets exceptional speed ¬ ster has not been nominated for either the Classic or American Derby His absence however will not leave the features lacking for top performers as leading thoroughbreds throughout the nation have been nominated for both races
