Tropical Park to Open Florida Season Dec 1 1Guifstream Guifstream Park Elects to Close Sport 40 Days for Each Track TrackMIAMI MIAMI Fla May 12 The Florida State Racing Commission today allotted dates for the three tracks in the greater Miami area for the 194849 racing season The 40 days assigned each track is the same as this year The only change is that Tropi ¬ cal Park opens the season on December 1 and runs to January 15 Hialeah Park stages its meeting from January 17 to March 3 and Guifstream Park closes the season with dates from March 4 to April 19 19The The allotment of dates is automatic un ¬ der the rule giving the choice dates to the tracks producing the greatest amount of revenue The dates were decided this way for the first timer with Guifstream choos ¬ ing the closing part of the season seasonThe The three tracks also asked the Florida commission to write a rule which would protect everyone in the case of a strike into the rules of racing The commission has promised to do so At present the rules are being revised to a more understandable form No basic changes are planned and a tentative set has been drawn up
