Elect Executive Members Of HBPA in Canada CanadaGeorge George Hardy Made Life Member And Advisor tp the President PresidentWOODBINE WOODBINE PARK Toronto Ont May 17 The Horsemens Benevolent and Pro ¬ tective Association Canadian Division elected executive officers for the ensuing year at a wellattended meeting held at Woodbine Park on Wednesday evening Prior to the balloting it was proposed and seconded that George Hardy who is ailing at the present time be accorded proper recognition for his many years of service in the horsemens interests and the assem ¬ bly gave unanimous approval to the mo ¬ tion that he be made an honorary life member with the official title of advisor to the president presidentThe The vote called for 10 committee mem ¬ bers and the following were elected to the executive W A Armstrong Harry Addi son Dr G H Ellis Morris Fishman Dr R K Hodgson Charles Hemstead Harry Lahman C G McCullagh W T North grave and W J Risewick RisewickThe The election constituted the main busi ¬ ness but several matters pertaining to the conduct of racing locally arid the condi ¬ tions existing at some local race tracks were discussed though no concrete pro ¬ posal or motions were presented presentedThe The only other resolution passed was that asking the ICRA to forward confirma ¬ tion of the appointment of three members to the ICRA board so that they might be represented at the next meeting It was pointed out that no official notice had been forwarded of these appointments other than one toC G McCullagh the other ap ¬ pointments having been named through the press A copy of a letter which had been sent to the ICRA by C G McCullagh de ¬ clining his appointment but suggesting that Gordon Mclntosh be deputized in his place was read to the assembly A vote of confidence was accorded Mclntosh
