Winnand Sweeney to Vacation After Closing Downs Business BusinessLOUISVILLE LOUISVILLE Ky May 17 Col Matt J Winn president of Churchill Downs Inc and general manager Russell Sweeney plan to Vacation after they wind up the final phases of the 1948 spring meeting business Wirin expressed satisfaction withB the attendance and mutuel figures at the Downs and before taking a rest he will make sdme plans for the Downs autumn season which will feature the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes and the rich Louisville Handicap After vacationing Whin and Sweeney also will begin work on the 1949 Kentucky Derby whicl will mark the seventyfifth running and the Diamond Jubilee renewal of the important threeyearold fixture Winn is anxious for the Diamond Jubilee Derby to be one of the greatest stakes in history
