Gulfstream Relinquishes TRA Membership MembershipMIAMI MIAMI Fla May 28 James Donn president of the Gulf stream Park Racing Association Inc today said that his organ ¬ ization had relinquished its membership in the Thoroughbred Racing Associations of the United States Inc but would not comment on what prompted the decision The TRA numbers among its members most of the race courses in this country Donn also corroborated the report that the post of director of racing at Gulfstream Park formerly held by James L Clifford had been abolished and that Clifford was no longer an official of the Gulfstream Racing Association He said that the board ot directors of the Hallandale course had decided to eliminate the director of racing post in the interest of economy pointing out that the4748 meeting at Gulfstream Park had not been as successful as had been anticipated He added that other depart ¬ ments had been consolidated in a move to achieve greater efficiency and to reduce operational expenses x
