Solons Hear Lampnt Appeal Decision in Case Reserved ReservedNEW NEW YORKN Yf May 28 Daniel Laments appeal for an owners license at Uew York tracks was heard today before a joint board consisting of the full New York State Racing Commission and two stewards of The Jockey Club The board sitting in the commissions rooms at 745 Fifth Ave ¬ nue listened to arguments presented by John W Burke Jr lawyer for The Jockey Club and by William Seligson attorney retained by Lamont At the end of several bourse of conflicting testimony chairman Ashley T Cole of the commission an ¬ nounced that briefs will be filed and a decision in the case reserved reservedLamnot Lamnot owner of El Mono winner of the McLennan and Widener Handicaps last winter at Hialeah was denied an owners license this spring by The Jockey Club on the ground that he had violated Ruling 34A of The Jockey Club rules of racing a section that applies to bookmaking This mornings session was devoted to the evi ¬ dence presented by both sides The Jockey blub introduced the testimony of Robert J Reinacher field operative for the TRPB and of Pinkerton operatives Daniel Fox and John W Ewing Lamont a shoe manu ¬ facturer and hotel owner of Altoona Pa was supported by a number of character witnesses from his native city
