Narragansett Secretary Releases Condition Book BookPatterns Patterns Races to Attract All Classes of Horses at R I Oval OvalPAWTUCKET PAWTUCKET B I June 1 Racing secretary M C Ty Shea today issued the condition book for the first 10 days of the 30day summer meeting at Narragansett Park covering the period from June 7 through June 17 17The The book offers races of various distances for horses of all ages and classifications The minimum purse is 2500 with over ¬ night races carrying up to 5000 included in tne attractive programs offered for the meeting which opens Monday MondayHorsemen Horsemen with juveniles wUl find ample racing opportunities for their youngsters while threeyearolds also are given plenty of races by Shea The usual number of races both sprints and routes are offered for the older horses horsesWith With 1250 horses stabled on the grounds when the meeting opens and surrounding barns on private farms filled to capacity response to the Gansett program is ex ¬ pected to be heavy heavyMondays Mondays openingday program will be featured by the Inaugural Purse a 5000 overnight allowance race of five and one half furlongs for threeyearolds and up ¬ ward This will serve as a splendid tuneup for eligibles to the first stake the 10000 added Spring Handicap scheduled for June 12 a sixfurlong sprint for three yearolds and upward Many of the horses nominated for the Spring handicap will be in action in the Monday feature featureAlso Also on the openingday card is a five and onehalffurlong sprint for twoyear olds There are three other sprints one for threeyearolds exclusively and three distance races racesFive Five of the races are claiming events with 3500 the lowest price Two are for 7500 claiming horses and another for 5000 horses
