Shortage of Steeplechase Riders Makes Entries Light LightDELAWARE DELAWARE PARK Stan ton Del June 16 Although several of the coun ¬ trys leading steeplechase stables have horses on the grounds Including those of Morris Dixon Jack Skinner Sydney Wat ters and Jim Ryan the overnight entries for infield races have been light However a definite increase is expected after tomor ¬ row rowOne One of the main reasons for this situa ¬ tion is the shortage of top flight steeple ¬ chase Tiders Leading steeplechase officials claim there is not enough good riders to conduct twp meetings at tKe same time Delaware Park has competed with the United Hunts meeting at Belmont Park for the first two days of the local jumping season but will have a clear field begin ¬ ning tomorrow
