Track Stars to Compete In Coliseum Relays May 16 16LOS LOS ANGELES Calif May 5 UP Perhaps the greatest field of track stars ever assembled will gather here May 16 for the 12th annual Coliseum relays v Chairman Bill Ackerman said the field would mclude such distance aces as Len Eyre of Great Britain Finlands Denis Jo ¬ hansson Norways Freidrik Eckhoff and the exWisconsin star miler Don Gehr ¬ mann mannOthers Others U S stars will include Dewey Johnson of Drake and possibly Warren Druetzler former Michigan State ace aceGehrmann Gehrmann is expected to capture a goodly share of the honors but the be ¬ spectacled Badger miler has not been up to previous brilliant form so far this year Johnson heat him in the Chicago Daily Daily News mile in 4099 this season Gehrmann has an alltime outdoor mark of 4090 and his best indoor mark is 4084 4084Johansson Johansson a Purdue student recently raced the 1500meter in 3532 and will probably be Finlands top choice in the event eventEckhoff Eckhoff a freshman at Oklahoma A M will probably represent Norway in the 1500meter while Eyre is Englands best 1500 meter man Eyre also boasts a mile mark of 4092 4092Druetzler Druetzler is in the army at Camp Lee Va and will take part in the relays if the military will release him He has an in ¬ door mile mark of 4082 the best of the season
