SYNDICATE, was hard held in the early running while racing on the outside, then moved up after entering the stretch to catch HASTY FREEDOMS nearing the end. but experienced some difficulty in besting the latter. HASTY FREEDOMS was in strong contention from the start and, taking a short lead in the final sixteenth, held en stubbornly. WOODSIDE drew out from the field after entering the stretch, but was unable to resist the top pair. FIGHTING DAY saved ground where possible and went wel Ithroughout. SHINING DEED dropped too far out of it early OSWEGO DR and BIG BUSTER had fair speed to the stretch. _ Scratched— 61234 Flatbush, 113. Overweight — Eperc. 3 pounds. Big Buster claimed by R. Won driving; second and third the same GALA FLEET was rated within striking distance of the leaders until the stretch was reached and was sent forward in the final furlong finished fast to catch NECKLACE in the closing strides and won going away. NECKLACE went to the front early and shook off HEART GREETS after entering the stretch, then saved ground to hold on fairly well. HEART GREETS had good soeed for the first three eiqhths. then weakened. BURNT LOOK closed much groun9 to finish strongly. ANUNY ONE also closed fast CATBERN was badly outrun all the way. WENT TO POST-329. OFF AT 3:29 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME Start good from stall gate. Won driving: second and third the same. DREAM CREAM was outrun early, but saved ground and. getting through on the inside of PALACE-CIRCLES after entering the last furlong, assumed a short advantaoe and held it to the end. SIS EGAN was never too far away and, finishing very fast, caught PALACE-CIRCLES in the closing strides and was gaining on the winner. PALACE-CIRCLES was steadied close up to find an opening on the stretch turn and take command, but appeared to weaken near the end. BLUE RUNNER, a trailer in the early stages, was racing well at the finish. INSTYLE tired and lost ground on the stretch turn. OCEAN DRIVE raced on virtually even terms with STORMY WATERS to the last furlong, then drew out from the latter, but was hard pressed by MY DIVIDEND at the end. The latter went wide on the stretch turn, then came strongly in the middle of the track through the final furlong. HARBIL moved up to save much ground by cutting the corner on the stretch turn and finished fairly well. LIKE HOVER, never far back, was unable to find sufficient racing room in the last furlong. PET BULLY went to the front early and was under restraint while racing slightly in advance of RADO KID, then drew away when mildly hand ridden in the stretch and was well in hand at the end. ROMMEL began slowly, but saved ground to reach contention and, continuing next to the rail in the stretch, finished gamely. RADO KID raced on the outside of PET BULLY early and weakened in the last furlong. COFFEE MONEY closed fast and might have been second in a few more strides. ROMAN FAIR was unable to keep up. OFF AT 4:51 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won ridden out; second and third driving. HALT0M, rated close to the pace in the early running, came through a rather narrow opening on the inside on the stretch turn, assumed a clear advantage under hand riding in the last sixteenth and increased his margin over TWENTY GAUGE. The latter was also held in reserve early, made a steady run on the outside to show in front at midstretch, but was not good enough. FOX LAIR, outrun early, finished steadily. DEAD DUCK was used up following SPRING KHAL and had little left at the end. WAR TEDDY was unable to keep up. SPRING KHAL had good speed for six furlongs, then weakened. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-4 MILES. CONVERSATIONAL dropped out of it soon after the start and lost much ground while making his move, but finished well. STATION AGENT saved ground where possible in the late stages. DESERT RULER moved up on the outside nearing the stretch turn, then faltered. BEST ARRAY weakened. CHUREO failed to be a contender. ARCHIBALDO quit badly.
