Delaware Turf Scribes Meet Brass Hats in Golf Match MatchDELAWARE DELAWARE PARK Stanton Del June 6 The third annual onslaught on the Newark Del Country Club golf course by the visiting turf writers in the Delaware Park press box and the brass hats squad representing the Stanton track has been scheduled for Thursday Wayne Brewer president of the Newark C C is warned that the course may never look the same after this momentous event although it has healed up since last years tourney tourneyBryan Bryan Field vicepresident and general manager of Delaware Park who played for the brass hats the past two years will be unable to compete Thursday because of pressure of business but plans to reach the club in sufficient time to serve as host of the scribes scribesThe The press box squad consists of Bill Bon ¬ iface Palmer Heagerty Bob McCurley Muggins Feldman Ray Haight Snowden Carter and Sam McCollum The brass hats seeking a third victory in the series is composed of Al Fahey Fred Hayden Cal Rainey Lester Bernd Leo OGrady Allan Lavin and Jock LeBelle LeBelleTeam Team captains Boniface and Hayden have agreed that match play will prevail Whether or not the two squads will mee j again in a return match during the cur rent Delaware Park meeting which ends July 4 probably will depend upon what condition the players leave the course in Thursday and how loud is the squawk of the losers
